Vanguard’s MP-40, in particular, has been one of the most powerful SMGs in both Vanguard Multiplayer and Warzone. It was so overpowered that it had to go through a nerf in the recent patch. Despite all the nerfs, the MP-40 still holds its own. And with the right attachments, it can still dominate the battlefield. SMGs allow you to have greater mobility. This, in turn, allows for better and faster enemy flanks. You can outplay ninety percent of the Warzone lobbies if you get your movement down. Combine your movement with an effective SMG such as the MP-40, and you’re on your way to Victory Royale. Metaphor, a well-known excellent Warzone player, posted a video showcasing his new MP-40 class setup with gameplay. Even after the nerf, the weapon shreds enemies at close range. The attachments used are as follows:

The class setup focuses on giving players some “leeway” in terms of lack of accuracy. Most of the time, you need to shoot the head or close to the upper body to do maximum damage. However, this class increases the extremities’ damage exponentially. So, you don’t have to worry too much about aiming towards the head. While it is still crucial, it is not mandatory. We can even argue that headshots here are not going to be as effective. This is because of the addition of VDD 189mm Short barrel. This barrel helps increase the damage range and limb damage in exchange for decreased headshot damage. The barrel is the primary change in a standard SMG build we’ve seen over the years. Another significant change here is the Optic. While we do say it is a personal choice, you can opt for the stated Krausnic ISO2M optic to get better ADS speed. Remember, with SMGs at close range, your speed matters. To ensure you get the maximum speed, go for this optic attachment. If you find any personal preference with the same or similar ADS speed advantage, then, by all means, feel free to go for it. Note that not using any optic attachment is also a good option. But, choosing a sight such as a Krausnic ISO2M or ISO1M helps with ADS speed. The majority of the attachment replacements here favor a lack of accuracy. For instance, Mark VI Skeletal VI and Stippled Grip also help increase your ADS speed. You might be worried about recoil. But, that is the beauty of this setup. At close range, you’re highly unlikely to miss many shots. Even if you are inaccurate, you have increased limb damage thanks to the barrel. As far as the perks go, you can choose whatever you wish.
