The reveal of the next installment of Need for Speed has been subject to several delays. Still, according to Insider Gaming, the reveal is “imminent,” and we may be getting the highly-anticipated Need for Speed reveal within the next two weeks. The insider also claims that the next NFS game is called Need for Speed Unbound. Earlier this year, we had some leaks showcasing the gameplay details of the game. The gameplay in the leaks appeared to be from early development stages. It is also assumed that the game will be revealed before 2022 ends. Now, we are just three months away from the new year and haven’t seen any official reveal. However, according to Insider Gaming, the next Need for Speed is set to be revealed in early October with a release date of December 2, 2022. The timeline does make sense considering the rumors of the game being released before 2022 ends. Reportedly, the trailer is one and a half minutes long with a soundtrack featuring the American rapper A$AP Rocky. In our previously reported leak, the gameplay footage also indicated that the game would feature anime-themed visual and cosmetic items. Based on previous reports, we understand that the new Need for Speed will focus heavily on multiplayer. Some of the previous titles have won awards for their multiplayer, and it is safe to assume that the next installment will feature the same. With an ever-growing and more connecting world, having no multiplayer wouldn’t make any sense, especially for a racing game like Need for Speed. Supposedly, the game is scheduled to be released for current-gen consoles only. While we don’t have any official dates for the reveal and the game’s release, the new rumors suggest that the next Need for Speed reveal is just around the corner.
