Battlefield Goes Mobile In a surprising turn of events, Electronic Arts has announced a new Battlefield mobile game set to release in 2022. Industrial Toys, a company acquired by EA in 2018, will spearhead the development of Battlefield Mobile. Meanwhile, DICE, which has been in charge of the development of the Battlefield games for years, will serve as partners for the upcoming mobile title. DICE general manager Oskar Gabrielson confirmed the news via an official blog post....

EA has, however, recently announced that it will be shutting down the servers for some fan-favorite games that have persisted for a long time thanks to their dedicated communities. Most of these games are over a decade old and only have a small community of gamers still using the servers. The shutdown will be gradual and have some impact on its player base. First, multiplayer servers will be shut down which means that these games can only be played in single-player or in ad-hoc LAN servers, if the game supports them....

According to GameAwards.net (via ResetEra), Elden Ring has won 149 GOTY awards from Media Outlets this year and the number keeps on growing by the day. The runner-up is, of course, God of War: Ragnarok, with a mere 28 GOTY awards from Media Outlets. Elden Ring won more than a hundred GOTY awards than its closest competition. Tom Henderson confirmed that Skate 4 will finally materialize again two years after its first announcement. The statement is also in line with EA’s recent comments about the state of Skate. Ubisoft just announced that a Far Cry 6 gameplay reveal is scheduled for May 28. The studio promises that the upcoming showcase will include actual in-game gameplay. This would mark the first time that gameplay footage of Far Cry 6 will be shown extensively since the game was first announced in July 2020. Fortnite might have just been banned on the App Store forever After Epic decided to give Fortnite players on iOS devices alternative payment options that allowed Epic to circumvent the App Store’s transaction fees, Apple dropped Fortnite from the App Store altogether. In response to this, Epic decided to sue Apple for, among other things, attempting to monopolize the market. Earlier this September, a judge ruled in favor of Epic, effectively allowing developers to use what Epic did with Fortnite....
