Snippets of in-engine footage have been sprinkled throughout the ‘Welcome to Santo Ileso’ trailer which introduces the game’s setting, and features a lot of developers speaking at the camera. Most AAA games take their sweet time with showing off any gameplay after the initial, pre-rendered reveal, so it is a welcome change to see what the actual game looks like this early on. Members of the press were privy to a gameplay preview behind closed doors, so we got some written descriptions of what to expect from the reboot, but actually seeing it in motion is a nice bonus....

The animator-screenwriter provided these hints during a recent interview with Radio Times where he, alongside his co-showrunner Lauren Hissrich, discussed Blood Origin, from the characters to the series production. Aloy’s Talents Aloy can be a sub-DPS and support on your team because her skills and passive can increase the attack of nearby party members. Her elemental skills can work well with Pyro characters, generating a Melt Reaction which has increased damage to enemies. Rapid Fire Rapid Fire is Aloy’s normal, charged, and plunging attack. If you charge her normal attack long enough, a Cryo element will infuse with her bow, applying Cryo element against enemies hit by the arrow....

The leaker, TheGhostofHope, claims that Infinity Ward, the studio behind the Call of Duty franchise, is “planning to release all/almost all Modern Warfare 2 (2009) maps together all at once sometime during the post-launch of Modern Warfare II (2022)”. He also disclosed that the maps are likely to be released as part of Year 2 content. Another leak, posted by Twitter user aet0MW2 and reposted by Ghost, appeared to corroborate this claim....

Nibel, a constant and credible breaking video game leaks and information, confirmed their departure from Twitter and Patreon. The video game personality revealed that they will no longer cover the gaming industry on either platform. In a Patreon post (via ResetEra), Nibel revealed they couldn’t create a revenue stream for themselves and that they found that the value of their work was more tied to social media as opposed to their individual effort....

Microsoft revealed its plans for the big August showcase in a new Xbox Wire post. In June 2020, Zynga acquired Turkish developers Peak for the hefty sum of $1.8 billion. They also recently announced that they are working on a free game for the Nintendo Switch and mobile platforms titled Star Wars Hunters. What’s Next for Echtra Games? In a recent tweet, Certain Affinity, a studio that specializes in multiplayer components for shooters like Call of Duty, Halo, and DOOM, confirmed that 343 Industries had entrusted it “with further evolving Halo Infinite in some new and exciting ways.” If you follow the page linked to by the tweet (embedded below), you’ll see Certain Affinity’s careers page, which now has dozens of open positions.
