Battlefront 2 is a successor of the game Battlefront produced by the Star Wars franchise that came out in November 2017. It was made for almost all gaming platforms including, Playstation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, and Xbox Cloud Gaming. Because it’s a multiplayer game, the gaming community has questioned if it supports cross-play or not.
Is Star Wars Battlefront 2 crossplay?
As of 2022, Battlefront 2 still doesn’t support crossplay between any platform. Players from different platforms won’t be in the same lobby no matter how much friends want to play together. Unfortunately, friends will have to rule their galaxies on their respective platforms. Many users consider this a huge turnoff as having crossplay would’ve enhanced the gaming experience. But as of now, having crossplay is just a user’s dream, dying a slow death.
Is there a chance for Battlefront 2 to have cross-play?
Even though adding crossplay to the game five years after its release might sound like a fairytale, EA has never failed to surprise its users by adding the crossplay feature even years after launch. We recently saw this happen with Apex Legends and FIFA. As a Battlefront 2 community and fans of the Stars Wars series, all we can do is hope that the force is with EA and leads to it offering crossplay in Battlefront 2.
Is Star Wars Battlefront 2 cross-progression?
After being disappointed by the game not having crossplay for users among different platforms, having no cross-progression will be an even bigger disappointment. Having no cross-progression means that none of your data will be transferred once you decide to switch your platform. This way players are not motivated enough to put their effort into the betterment of their in-game ranks as none of them will be transferred if players are expected to proceed to other platforms.
