Speaking on BigBoyTV, 50 Cent revealed that an 8 Mile TV show adaptation is in the works, saying: Shortly after the interview, he shared an Instagram post of the news from an article with the caption: Known to his fans as ‘Slim Shady,’ Eminem was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year, cementing his legacy as one of the greatest artists of the 21st century. 50 Cent believes that the show is necessary for people to understand how remarkable Eminem’s career is, stating: Although the G-Unit founder didn’t disclose any details about the upcoming show, he explained to Big Boy that the story will focus on the younger years of Eminem, comparing it to Peacock’s new series, Bel-Air, which is a reimagined version of the sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. 50 Cent will be hoping to replicate the same success he’s had with Power, the highly acclaimed Starz drama series that he produced. Furthermore, 8 Mile was a major success that grossed $242 million against a $41 million budget. Eminem also went on to win the Academy Award for Best Original Song for ‘Lose Yourself’, and the accompanying soundtrack was certified quadruple platinum.
