This is how Better Call Saul’s executive producer, Thomas Schnauz, described the production on Season 6 of the prequel to Breaking Bad. The sixth and final season of Better Call Saul is expected to premiere sometime in early 2022 and has been in production for the better part of 2021. However, fans were worried that its premiere would be delayed after the show’s lead star, Bob Odenkirk, suffered a minor heart attack back in July. Despite the health scare, Schnauz assures fans that the rest of the cast and crew are working hard to finish the last season of Better Call Saul.
When is Better Call Saul Season 6 going to launch?
In an interview with Den of Geek, Schnauz confirmed that the production is focusing on scenes that don’t involve Bob at the moment, as the 58-year-old actor rests up and recuperates. When asked about how violent the upcoming season is going to be, Schnauz had a rather elusive answer: “We don’t really pay attention to matching the tone or the amount of violence that came before in previous seasons”. Schnauz also added that the production team is doing what it believes is “right for the current story.” However, Schnauz did explain that since the show is coming to an end, “whatever happens will probably hit harder.” Unfortunately, Schnauz refused to go into the specifics of what’s going to happen as Better Call Saul concludes. With that said, we shouldn’t expect Better Call Saul to return with its sixth season anytime soon. Don’t be surprised if it’s pushed back to later in 2022 so that Bob has more time to heal.

Back in March, the show’s Twitter account revealed that a brand new animated series inspired by the Breaking Bad prequel was in development. In the meantime, fans can look forward to seeing Giancarlo Esposito appear as Anton Castillo in Far Cry 6. The latest installment in Ubisoft’s Far Cry series is expected to release on October 7, 2021.
